The all new Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) is coming to Malaysia in November 2007. The price is expected to be somewhere between RM 250,000 to RM 270,000. Although the price is not confirmed yet, DaimlerChrysler Malaysia already received more than 1000 bookings since they start accepting booking in July 2007.

Two variants of C-Class will be offered in Malaysia: the Avantgarde and Elegence. The Avantgarde has darkened interior, tighter suspension and sportier radiator grill that has a big three-pointed start embedded into it. The Elegance has softer interior colour that give a feeling of more conservative looks. With this strategy, Mercedes-Benz can attract younger customers with the Avantgarde while keeping the more conservative Mercedes-Benz supporters with the Elegance.

Certainly, the prestige involved in buying a Merc, entry-level sedan though it may be, is a factor, but the C has never been a bad car, always coming with nice luxury and safety features if not always being an exciting drive.
