2008 Hyundai Elantra, Malaysia



2008 is a competitive year for car manufacturer but is a good market for car buyers. Kah Bintang has launched the Hyundai Elantra 2008 on 9th Jan 2008. The all new Elantra 2008 is powered by 2.0 liter DOHC engine with Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) technology. The 2.0L CVVT engine can delivers 143PS at 6000 rpm. The new engine is not only powerful but fuel efficient. All the while, Korean cars are well-known for its high fuel consumption and slack in power but this time, fuel economy is one of the selling point for the 2008 Elantra. Hyundai has make one bold step forward to catch close to Japanease rivals.



Elantra 2008 fuel consumption are as follows:
7.1L/100km (14.1 km/L) - highway
9.4L/100km (10.6 km/L) - city
8.4L/100km (11.9 km/L) - combined

Exterior wise, it is an all new Elantra. It's a total redesign from the predecessor. The new Elantra has been redesigned to look more sporty. The paint works is smooth and shinny.

At first glance from the rear, it looks like a baby Lexus GS300.


The beige-coloured leather seat and blue illuminated dashboard give you the feeling of comfort and high-class. The 2008 Elantra 2008 comes with Goodyear NCT5 205/55R16 tyres. NCT5 is a long live tyre which can give you more mileage but if quite ride is your top priority, then may need to consider to trade the NCT5 with quiter tyres after you getting your car.




The 2008 Elantra is another value-for -money car launched in Malaysia. The 2.0 L Hyundai Elantra 2008 is priced competitively at RM 93,888. The only 2.0L sedan below RM 100, 000 in Malaysia. Only the Korean can do it, 2.0L automobile below RM 100K in Malaysia. The package comes with:

4) Impact Sensor Door Unlock

  1. i'm thinking about buying this car after i saw it at the showroom...so far no comments heard..the price is cheaper for 2.0L car..they also said that full tank can go from JB to Butterworth..wow! i'd like to try this car..
